The next plenary meeting of the COST Action CA23159 – Decarbonising Waterborne Transportation (DeWaTra) is set to take place on 5–6 June 2025 at the Department of Industrial Engineering, University of Naples Federico II. This hybrid-format event will build on the momentum from previous meetings, offering a platform for detailed Working Group sessions, cross-disciplinary exchanges, and forward-looking discussions.

Participants from across Europe will gather to share progress on decarbonisation research, discuss preliminary deliverables, and co-develop ideas for training activities, dissemination strategies, and future funding proposals. Topics will span hydrodynamic optimisation, renewable energy integration, digital simulation methods, ship emission modelling, and AI-based control systems.

Beyond its technical focus, the Naples meeting will provide a vital forum for expanding the network. Attendees will have the opportunity to form new collaborations, explore institutional partnerships, and take part in ongoing Working Group initiatives.

The event is open to current and prospective Action members. Researchers, policymakers, and professionals from academia, industry, and government bodies are encouraged to attend—either in person or online.
