The COST Action DeWaTra – Decarbonising Waterborne Transportation (CA23159) is pleased to announce an upcoming online webinar organised within Working Group 5, entitled:
“Onboard Decision Support Systems for Energy-Efficient Ship Operation: Concepts, Classifications and Routing Applications.”
As the maritime sector works towards increasingly ambitious decarbonisation objectives, onboard decision support systems are becoming important tools for improving operational efficiency, reducing fuel consumption and supporting more informed ship-operation decisions.
This webinar will introduce the main concepts and classifications of onboard decision support systems and provide an overview of the current state of the art. Particular attention will be given to practical applications involving route planning, speed optimisation and fuel management.
